An initial examination would be conducted to have a closer look at the damage that requires repair. The dentist would select a shade of tooth bonding material that would closely match to the shade of the patient's natural teeth. The surface of the tooth will be roughened and a dental adhesive would be applied. Dr. Most would then carefully apply the composite resin material and mold it into shape. The resin material would then be hardened with a UV light.
Cosmetic bonding can last several years if the patient is diligent enough to perform daily oral hygiene at home and attend six-month checkups and cleanings. In case patients prefer an alternative with a longer lifespan, consider porcelain veneers.
